 Osimhen lashes Finidi

Napoli and Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen has taken a swipe at Finidi George for the direct attack on him as well as blaming him for his failure with the team.

In an Instagram video, Osimhen detailed how he wanted to come to motivate his colleagues despite his injury but coach Finidi said otherwise.

According to the striker, he’s always dedicated playing for the national team.

"Several times I played with pains without complaining, even against the advice of Napoli medics,” he explained.

Osimhen said despite suffering injury, he wanted to join his colleagues in camp, just to motivate them but the coach discouraged him.

“I’ve evidences where the coach said there’s no need to join the team in camp since I’m injured. So, it’s surprising for him to blame me for the problem in the team,” Osimhen said.

Finidi George has stepped down as coach of the Super Eagles.

The resignation follows the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) decision to appoint a foreign coach to oversee him, despite his recent appointment in May.
