 Governor Uba Sani Attends Kaduna Forest Guards Graduation As Special Guest of Honour Governor Uba Sani attended the graduation ceremony of the newly trained Kaduna State Forest Guards at the DSS Development Centre, Afaka, where he served as the Special Guest of Honour. As part of ongoing efforts to consolidate the improving security situation in Kaduna State, the state government, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the Department of State Services (DSS), has successfully trained over 1,000 forest guards. The recruits underwent intensive training coordinated by ONSA to enhance surveillance and security across forests and rural communities that have been vulnerable to criminal activities. Fully armed and operating under ONSA's rules of engagement, the forest guards will complement the efforts of conventional security agencies. 25 MIGRANTS KILLED IN A SHIPWRECK OFF THE COAST OD MAURITANIA. (PHOTO).

 Twenty-five migrants have been killed in a shipwreck off the coast of Mauritania, according to the country's news agency, with dozens missing.


The incident took place near the capital city of Nouakchott. The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said that more than 190 people were still missing and that a rescue operation was underway to recover people.


The Mauritanian coastguard rescued 103 migrants and recovered 25 bodies a coastguard commander said.


The IOM said around 300 people had boarded a wooden pirogue boat in Gambia, and spent seven days at sea before the boat capsized on 22 July.
