Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. A RESCUE DOG SAVED HIS 86-YEAR-OLD HUMAN FROM A SAVAGE ATTACK BY A FULLY UNCLOTHED MAN. (PHOTO).

A rescue dog saved his 86-year-old human from a savage attack by a fully unclothed man.

Ned Tarmey was letting his best friend Kane out in the yard of his Manchester, New Hampshire home for exercise last week when Kane proved his love and loyalty to his human.

As Ned opened the door to let Kane go about his business, 55-year-old Donald Pierce broke into the backyard fully undressed. He hit Ned with a brick and began throwing rocks and lawn furniture at the elderly man while screaming he was going to take his life.

This is when Kane switched into hero mode. He charged Pierce driving him to the ground. He then held the nude man down until police arrived and arrested him.

On Tuesday of this week hospital staff allowed Kane to come and check in on his human and it was a sweet and heart warming reunion.

Kane was rescued from a shelter just last year and I would say they picked the right pup to be Ned's companion.

Donald Pierce is being charged with first degree assault, indecent exposure, cruelty to animals along  with several other charges.
