Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. Nigerian doctor and visual artist, Dr. Fola David, has surpassed the existing record for the world's largest painting by an individual.


On Friday, the fourth day of his attempt, David broke the previous record of 629.98 square metres, held by Ravi Soni from India, and has said that he is determined to attain his ultimate goal of 1000 square metres of art.


In the course of his attempt, celebrities and dignitaries have visited David at the stadium to offer their support and witness his artistic feat firsthand.
