 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  Kano Assembly passes bill to create second-class emirates


The Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday passed the Kano State Emirates Council Establishment Bill 2024 after the bill scaled a third reading.


The bill was sponsored by a lawmaker representing the Rimin Gado/Tofa state constituency, Muhammad Bello Bututu.


The bill seeks to establish Kano as a first-class emirate while Rano, Gaya and Karaye would remain second-class emirates.


According to the bill, Emirs of the three second-class emirates would be answerable to the Emir of Kano and shall have powers to advise him on any matter relating to the maintenance of public order, boundary dispute or dispute between two or more people within their areas of jurisdiction.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
