 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. MAN DISAPPEARS AFTER ANSWERING PHONE CALL IN ABIA. (PHOTO).

 Man disappears after answering phone call in Abia


A young man aged 34 years, Mr Onyekachi Kingsley Ugochukwu, has been declared missing by his family in Isiala Akpaa Amaiyi village, Osisioma Ngwa LGA of Abia State.


Ugochukwu, who is said to be fair in complexion, was said to have disappeared without trace after allegedly answering phone calls from an undisclosed person.


According to Onyekachi Alfred Ahuama, the father of the missing person, Ugochukwu was last seen on June 24 at about 5:PM when he picked a phone call from someone and has not been seen again.


The father, who expressed fear over the whereabouts of his son, appealed to anybody with information about Ugochukwu to contact the family.


The matter was yet to be confirmed by the Police as at the time of this report, as messages sent to the Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, were not responded to.
