 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Northern Group faults, Kwankwnso, Kabir call for Tinubu's impeachment

The Northern Patriotic Agenda (NPA) has denounced the recent call by the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the impeachment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government. 


Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, the Leader of the Group, Dr. Agabi Emmanuel, described Kwankwaso's letter to NNPP members in the National Assembly as a desperate attempt to salvage his dwindling political influence and a threat to the government's stability.


Emmanuel urged law enforcement agencies to be vigilant and thwart Kwankwaso's sinister plots, which he believed is against government's stability and undermine democratic principles. 

He commended President Tinubu's commitment to inclusivity and progress, and criticized Governor Yusuf for neglecting his duties and engaging in political grandstanding.


The NPA advised Kwankwaso and Governor Yusuf to retrace their steps and strive for progressive leadership, warning that their actions could harm the nation and its citizens.
