 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Northern Group faults, Kwankwnso, Kabir call for Tinubu's impeachment

The Northern Patriotic Agenda (NPA) has denounced the recent call by the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the impeachment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government. 


Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, the Leader of the Group, Dr. Agabi Emmanuel, described Kwankwaso's letter to NNPP members in the National Assembly as a desperate attempt to salvage his dwindling political influence and a threat to the government's stability.


Emmanuel urged law enforcement agencies to be vigilant and thwart Kwankwaso's sinister plots, which he believed is against government's stability and undermine democratic principles. 

He commended President Tinubu's commitment to inclusivity and progress, and criticized Governor Yusuf for neglecting his duties and engaging in political grandstanding.


The NPA advised Kwankwaso and Governor Yusuf to retrace their steps and strive for progressive leadership, warning that their actions could harm the nation and its citizens.
