 ENUGU STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE YULETIDE SECURITY: ENUGU POLICE OPERATIVES BUST ARMED ROBBERY OPERATION, ARREST SUSPECT, RECOVER IMITATION GUN AND AMMUNITION The Enugu State Police Command has sustained its onslaught against criminal activities during the Yuletide season with the arrest of a male armed robbery suspect and the recovery of an imitation firearm and ammunition. The suspect, one Oshim Lambert Chimuanya (male, aged 28), was arrested on 13th December 2025 at about 11:30 p.m. while attempting to rob members of the public around Agric Bank Bus Stop, Independence Layout, Enugu, following a prompt response to a distress call by operatives of the Command attached to the Independence Layout Police Division. Upon arrival at the scene, the operatives apprehended the suspect in the act of robbing an unsuspecting young man and recovered from him one revolver imitation (toy) pistol loaded with eight toy bullets.  Palestinians forced to flee as Israel pushes into Gaza’s cities..


The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says 86 percent of the Gaza Strip is currently under evacuation orders.  Thousands of Palestinians have been forced from their homes as Israeli forces mount a renewed push into densely populated cities in southern and central Gaza..


Residents said on Sunday that fierce fighting could be heard in eastern areas of the southern city of Khan Younis, where the Israeli army was operating. The attacks pushed thousands of families to leave their homes and head to overcrowded areas in al-Mawasi to the west or Deir el-Balah to the north..


Gaza’s health officials said military strikes had killed 66 Palestinians across the enclave in the past 24 hours as Israeli tanks pushed deeper into the towns of al-Karara (Kissufuim), az-Zanna, and Bani Suheila, in the east of the city..
