 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Wizkid remembers late mother on posthumous birthday


Nigerian superstar, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has paid tributes to his late mother, Morayo, on her first posthumous birthday.


Taking to social media on Thursday, Wizkid celebrated her life, highlighting how much he missed her.


He wrote, “Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, Mama! Life is empty without you.


“Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever! love you love love you, Morayo mi. Your smile is a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. I miss you dearly!”


Wizkid also wrote, “Morayo!! Best album I ever made!! Now listen! It’s only up from here!”


Wizkid’s mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, died on August 18, 2023, and was buried on October 13, 2023.
