 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  897 migrants intercepted off Libyan coast: IOM


The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Monday that 897 migrants were intercepted and returned to Libya during the week that ended on Saturday.


The humanitarian agency reported that among those intercepted were 54 women and 29 children. It also said five bodies were recovered off the Libyan coast, Xinhua reported.


Since the start of the year, a total of 12,584 migrants have been intercepted, while 411 have died and 512 are missing at sea, according to IOM data.


The Libyan coast has been a major departure point for migrants seeking to reach Europe, with thousands making the perilous journey each year.


Libya has faced instability since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, creating a vacuum exploited by human traffickers.
