 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. A PILOT MYSTERIOUSLY VANISHES WHILE FLYING NEAR THE BAHAMAS. (PHOTO).

 Pilot from Louisville, Kentucky mysteriously vanishes while flying near the Bahamas.


59-year-old Christopher Moore has gone missing along with his single engine Bristell plane. 


According to Christopher's wife, Stacey Love, he had flown out of Sebastian, Florida and was scheduled to land at Marsh Harbour Airport.


Mrs. Love says Christopher vanished on approach to the airport, she added for some reason his signal faded and then was just gone from radar. 


The U.S Coast Guard and officials from the Bahamas, conducted a 2 day search before calling off search efforts after finding no sign of Christopher or his plane.


Love says, "I wish we would get more resources and help. There is no sign of that plane and it's very shallow water, it tells me they are missing something because we should be able to find him."


She added that he was a very experienced pilot and had been flying for 9 years.
