Sean Strickland forcibly removed from UFC White House event by Secret Service UFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland was removed from the UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., after showing up despite claiming he had been excluded from the White House event.  Strickland later clarified on Instagram that he was not arrested but suggested he might face a disorderly conduct charge, which in D.C. carries penalties of up to 90 days in jail or a $500 fine.  His presence drew immediate hostility from the pro-Trump crowd, with chants of “USA” erupting before Secret Service agents escorted him out. Strickland had been vocal in the weeks leading up to the event, insisting that his exclusion was politically motivated due to his outspoken criticism of Trump’s ties to Israel and Jeffrey Epstein.  He mocked the event online, even parodying a famous photo of Trump at the Western Wall.  Ajaero Invitation: NLC Accuses FG Of Harassing Labour Leaders, Threatens Nationwide Strike


The leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has accused the Federal Government of harassing its leaders and has put its members and affiliates on red alert, threatening a nationwide strike should the Nigerian Police Force detain its president, Joe Ajaero.


The resolution was announced by the deputy president of the union, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju after an emergency meeting of the group’s National Executive Council on Tuesday.


A crowd of unionists were seen gathered at the headquarters of the NLC in Abuja as the meeting was being held, singing solidarity songs.


The unionists said the strike would begin on Tuesday midnight “if anything happens to the president of the congress”.


On Monday, the Nigerian Police Force summoned Ajaero for investigation over allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony and cybercrime.


The NPF invitation was contained in a letter dated 19th August 2024, and signed by ACP Adamu Muazu on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Response Team.


The summon had ordered the NLC president to present himself for questioning by 10:00 am today.


The police also warned that a warrant of arrest would be issued if Ajaero failed to comply.
