 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. The Board of Peace said Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for moving forward with the next phases of the ceasefire after months of negotiations.  Former Anambra Deputy Speaker Oseke Dies At 64


Former Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Harford Oseke is dead.


He was 64 years old and hailed from Umuawulu in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.


The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear


While some reports say Oseke collapsed during his regular exercise routine at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka on Monday, others reveal that he had been sick and had been in the hospital until the story of his death broke on Monday.


He was a law graduate and had recently completed his Ph.D. in Public Administration at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.


Oseke’s political career started with the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and during Peter Obi’s administration, Oseke contested and won a seat in the Anambra State House of Assembly, where he served as the Majority Leader before being elected Deputy Speaker.


There is no official statement from the family or the state government but a close relative, who pleaded anonymity, said the death was one too many as Anambra had lost fine politicians in quick succession in recent times.
