 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. The Board of Peace said Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for moving forward with the next phases of the ceasefire after months of negotiations.  Germany Captain Gundogan Announces International Retirement

Gundogan, who turns 34 in October, was in the German team that reached the Euro 2024 quarter-finals before losing to eventual champions Spain after extra time..


Germany captain Ilkay Gundogan announced his retirement from international football on Monday after leading his country at Euro 2024. “After a few weeks of reflection, I have come to the conclusion that it is time to end my national team career,” Gundogan said in a German FA statement..


“I look back with great pride on 82 international matches for my home country – a number that I could never have dreamed of when I made my debut for the  senior national team in 2011.”

Gundogan, who turns 34 in October, was in the German team that reached the Euro 2024 quarter-finals before losing to eventual champions Spain after extra time..


“My highlight was clearly the huge honour of being able to lead the team as captain at our home European Championship last summer,” said the Barcelona midfielder..
