 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Obaseki Approves Appointment Of Civil Service Commission Members, Two Perm Secs

The appointments are subject to the confirmation of the Edo State House of Assembly..


The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has approved the appointment of members of the Edo State Civil Service Commission with Lalla Aluyi as Chairman. The governor also approved the appointment of two new Permanent Secretaries in the Edo State Public Service..


The appointments were contained in two separate statements signed by the Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa..


On the Civil Service Commission, Okungbowa said: “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that, His Excellency, the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki has, in line with his powers under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, approved the appointment of the following persons as Members of the Edo State Civil Service Commission:

“Lalla Aluyi, as Chairman; Ehi Obaseki, member; Gilbert Adegboyega, member; Julie Olatunji, member and Margaret Ohiowele, member.”
