 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Obaseki Approves Appointment Of Civil Service Commission Members, Two Perm Secs

The appointments are subject to the confirmation of the Edo State House of Assembly..


The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has approved the appointment of members of the Edo State Civil Service Commission with Lalla Aluyi as Chairman. The governor also approved the appointment of two new Permanent Secretaries in the Edo State Public Service..


The appointments were contained in two separate statements signed by the Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa..


On the Civil Service Commission, Okungbowa said: “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that, His Excellency, the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki has, in line with his powers under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, approved the appointment of the following persons as Members of the Edo State Civil Service Commission:

“Lalla Aluyi, as Chairman; Ehi Obaseki, member; Gilbert Adegboyega, member; Julie Olatunji, member and Margaret Ohiowele, member.”
