 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Media personality Chude Jideonwo has paid respect to the late singer, songwriter and actress Onyeka Onwenu.


In a post on his Instagram page, he revealed that he had spent the whole day crying like a baby as he was still shocked, stunned, and speechless. He said he couldn’t remember the last time his heart broke this hard.
