 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.  ‘It’s false’ – GTB debunks hackers seizing website, customers’ data


Nigeria’s leading commercial bank, Guarantee Trust Bank, has described as entirely false report of its website being seized by hackers.


The clarification comes amid a report that its website has been compromised by hackers and customers’ data intercepted in a massive phishing operation.

A source from GTB said that the claim was entirely untrue.

He clarified that the bank was having a connectivity issue but that it had nothing to do with hacking.

“It’s false. What we are experiencing is a connectivity issue and has nothing to do with the alleged hacking”,


The incident which happened on Wednesday night made the site inaccessible as some customers lamented on social media.

Multiple attempts to log on to www.gtbbank.com returned error signs as of 10:30pm on Wednesday.

The incident happened after the domain name was renewed for another five years from August 13, 2024, through March 21, 2029, according to platforms that analyse domain information.
