  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Kamala Harris picks Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as running mate


Kamala Harris has picked Tim Walz as her running mate for the presidential election, US media has reported


Walz, the Minnesota Governor and a former high school teacher, will become vice-president if Harris beats Donald Trump in November


Harris interviewed several top contenders in Washington DC over the weekend and reportedly had not made up her mind until earlier today


The announcement comes as Harris begins a tour of key battleground states, starting with a rally in Philadelphia later today where Harris will officially introduce Walz as her running mate.
