 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion.  Police arrest notorious ‘one chance’ robbers in Nasarawa


The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested two notorious ‘One Chance’ robbers and recovered their operational vehicle following a rapid response to a reported robbery incident.

DSP. Ramhan Nansel, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, made this known to newsmen on Wednesday in Lafia, the state capital.

“On August 13, 2024, at approximately 2030hrs, the Police received information about suspected armed robbers operating in a Toyota Corolla 1994 model with registration number Benue MKD 77 TF.

“The suspects had picked up an unsuspecting passenger from New Nyanya, en route to Area 1, Abuja.

“During the journey, they robbed the passenger of her handbag, iPhone, and other valuables before forcefully ejecting her from the moving vehicle,” Nansel stated.

He added that upon receiving the report, Police operatives attached to the New Karu Area Command, in collaboration with public-spirited individuals, launched a pursuit of the criminals.

Nansel said the swift and coordinated efforts resulted in the interception of the suspects’ vehicle.

The Police spokesperson stated that the suspects have provided useful information to the authorities, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the criminal syndicate.
