 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Port Harcourt Refinery: NNPCL announces September as fresh commencement date


The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has announced September 2024 as a new date for the commercial commencement of Port Harcourt Refinery.


The Chief Financial Officer of NNPCL, Umar Ajiya disclosed this on Monday while speaking with journalists in Abuja.


According to him, the petroleum products will be ready for testing before it is usually supplied to the domestic market in September.


Earlier, the national president of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, Billy Gillis-Harry had hinted that the refinery is set for commencement.


This comes after several announcements of commencement dates that had not come to light.


Recall that in July, Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL had announced that the refinery, with a combined capacity of 250 million barrels per day, would commence operation in August.


Similarly, the firm had announced March and July 2024 dates for the commencement of the refinery after its mechanical completion in December last year.
