 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Boyfriend allegedly kills girlfriend at NWU Vaal Campus before taking his own life


According to MDM news, the North-West University (NWU) Vaal Campus is mourning the tragic loss of 22-year-old Mamohlotsi Rebecca Nchabeleng. 


She was a fourth-year BEd student from Tafelkop who was allegedly found deceased in her room at a private residence on Monday, August 19, 2024. 


This devastating news comes just a day after a fatal car accident claimed the lives of six NWU Vaal Campus students.


Nchabeleng's body was allegedly discovered following the death of her non-NWU student boyfriend in Sharpeville. 


He was reportedly found deceased with a suicide note that revealed the location of Nchabeleng. 


Sergeant Sabelo Sigcu, the spokesperson for Vanderbijlpark Police, confirmed the opening of a murder case and ongoing investigations into the matter. 


The boyfriend's family allegedly alerted the police after discovering him deceased by hanging at his home. His suicide note allegedly disclosed that he had taken Nchabeleng's life before ending his own.
