 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. ADEMOLA LOOKMAN HAS BEEN NOMINATED FOR THE 2024 BALLON D'OR AWARD. (PHOTO).

 Super Eagles and Atalanta star,  Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.


The 26-year-old was shortlisted alongside 29 players around the World for the coveted award.  Lookman is the only African player in the full list of Ballon d’Or contenders. 


Lookman scored 17 goals and made 11 assists for Atalanta last season. He was also pivotal in the club winning their first-ever European title.


He also gained global recognition after heroics in the Europa League final where he scored a hat-trick as Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen.


Other notable nominees in the men’s category include Jude Bellingham, Vini Junior, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappe.


Yamine Lamal, Toni Kroos, Phil Foden, and Rodri are also included on the list of nominees.
