 LAWMA SCALES UP ENVIRONMENTAL ENFORCEMENT, SEALS DEFAULTING MARKETS, SHOPS IN IKOTUN-IGANDO … Issues Fresh Compliance Notices Along Ojuelegba-Lawanson-Itire Corridor The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has intensified its ongoing environmental compliance enforcement across Lagos, sealing markets, shopping complexes and commercial premises along the Ikotun-Igando axis, while issuing notices of intention to seal markets, shops and plazas along the Ojuelegba-Lawanson-Itire corridor. The enforcement exercise, carried out on Saturday by LAWMA's Project WISE West team, targeted commercial premises along the LASU-Igando Road corridor in Alimosho Local Government Area, following persistent indiscriminate dumping of refuse on the road median despite repeated default notices, sustained environmental advocacy and notices of intention to seal.  Ajuri Ngelale Can Now Switch Off Phone, Rest Well And Add Weight – Shehu Sani


A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central District in the 8th Senate, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the indefinite leave of absence embarked upon by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity.


Ngelale had in a statement issued on Saturday said he had submitted a memo to the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Friday informing him of his plan to proceed on indefinite leave.


He added that he has temporarily stepped down as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.


According to Ngelale, he stepped down from his role to deal with medical matters presently affecting his immediate family.


In his reaction to the development via a post on his official X handle, Sani stated that Ngelale can now rest well, switch off his phone and even regain his weight.


“Ajuri can now rest well,sleep well,eat well,switch off his phone and even add some weight,” Sani wrote.
