 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  Bike Rider Killed, Taxi Set on Fire by Separatist Fighters 


Separatist fighters claiming to be members of the Fako Black Tar group have carried out a deadly attack on a bike rider in the Mile 16 Bolifamba area of Buea, South West region, on the morning of September 2, 2024.


Eyewitness accounts and video footage show a taxi on fire, with heavily armed men moving around the scene.


 A picture obtained by CNA reveals the lifeless body of the bike rider, who appears to have suffered fatal gunshot wounds.


This latest attack comes amid the ongoing "ghost town" protests, where Mondays have been declared as days of civil disobedience. 


Recent instructions from one of the separatist factions have specifically called for the burning of yellow taxis, further escalating the tension in the region.


The fate of the taxi driver involved in the incident remains unknown.
