Okonkwo Rejects Obi’s Demand for Apology, Insists on Allegations Over NDC Primaries A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kenneth Okonkwo, has rejected a demand by Peter Obi for a retraction and apology over comments concerning the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary elections. Okonkwo, in a response to a pre-action notice issued by Obi, maintained that he would not withdraw remarks made during a recent appearance on Channels Television, insisting that his comments were based on complaints allegedly brought to him by party aspirants and other sources. The dispute arose from allegations made by Okonkwo during an interview on Sunrise Daily, where he claimed that some NDC aspirants were asked to pay money to secure party tickets. Following the interview, Obi, through his lawyer, Alex Ejesieme (SAN), issued a pre-action letter demanding a public retraction, apology and N5 billion in damages, describing the allegations as false, malicious and defamatory. Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has tendered a heartfelt apology to her colleague, Biodun Okeowo, better known as Omoborty.


We reported that on Saturday, Eniola turned a new age, and to celebrate her birthday, Biodun shared a photo of her with a heartfelt message. Expressing her love for her, Biodun called Eniola her darling.


“Happy birthday, darling Badoosky of life @eniola_badmus”.


In her comment section, Eniola appreciated her for celebrating her on her birthday, as she admitted that she has been guilty of not keeping a close check on her. However, she would redirect.


“Thank you so much, sis mi; I know I say I dey guilty, but I go redirect”.


Reacting to it, Biodun stated that Eniola is her family for life. She wrote in Yoruba, “You are omo iyee mi for life”


On her birthday, Badmus had penned a note to her heavenly father, praying that God grants her the wisdom to make the right choices, patience to weather the storms and a heart full of compassion to love and serve others. She stated that she takes a moment to appreciate her journey, the milestones she had achieved and the person she was becoming, and expressed gratitude to her Maker for the countless blessings.


In another post, she prayed for clarity in purpose and boldness to walk in the direction He has planned for her. She stated that she trusted that God was preparing something beautiful for her life, and she released any fear or anxiety about the future.


There is no doubt that Eniola has a busy schedule since her government appointment. Refreshing your memory, in May, she was appointed the Special Assistant to the Speaker of The Federal Republic of Nigeria on Social Events and Public Hearings. Confirming her appointment, Eniola appreciated Abbas for the political appointment as she expressed how honoured she was to be given such an opportunity to serve under his leadership. She appreciated him for the confidence he placed in her.
