 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Ex-Sokoto PDP chair Milgoma is dead


A former Chairman of the Sokoto State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ibrahim Milgoma, has passed away.


A statement signed by the spokesman of the party, Hassan Sanyinnawal and made available to newsmen on Wednesday, revealed that Milgoma died on Tuesday after a protracted illness.


The party described his death as a colossal loss, not only to the party in the state but also at the national level.

The statement read in part, “The late Ibrahim Milgoma was a distinguished gentleman and respected leader who contributed immensely to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria in general.


Sokoto PDP has indeed lost a father and a respected leader who piloted the affairs of the party with the dedication and commitment that ensured the victory of our great party in the 2019 general election.


“The PDP Sokoto State Chapter prays that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, rewards his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus, and grants his household and the entire state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
