 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. The Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway is a multi-state infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and economic activities across northern and southern Nigeria. More...

Federal Fire Service Announces Promotion of 479 Firemen (Superintendent Cadre)

 

The Federal Fire Service is pleased to announce the promotion of 479 of its dedicated senior officers on 25th September 2024. This promotion recognizes the outstanding efforts and service of these firemen, whose commitment to safeguarding lives and property has been exceptional.

 

In the face of increasing challenges and risks, the promoted officers have continually demonstrated bravery, resilience, and professional excellence in their line of duty. The promotions, which cover various ranks within the Federal Fire Service (23 Deputy Controllers of Fire, 6 Assistant Controllers of Fire, 91 Chief Superintendents of Fire, 158 Superintendents of Fire, 13 Deputy Superintendents of Fire, 96 Assistant Superintendents of Fire I, and 92 Assistant Superintendents of Fire II), aim to further strengthen the nation's capacity for firefighting and emergency response.

 

The Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Engr. Jaji O. Abdulganiyu MIFire.E MNSE, congratulated the newly promoted officers, stating, “These promotions are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice exhibited by these officers. Their roles are pivotal in ensuring the safety of our communities, and this recognition is well deserved.”

 

The Federal Fire Service remains committed to enhancing its workforce and infrastructure to meet the ever-growing demands of fire safety and disaster management across the country. The newly promoted officers are expected to assume their new roles and responsibilities with immediate effect and will continue to receive the support and resources necessary to excel in their duties.

 

The Federal Fire Service expresses its gratitude to all officers for their unwavering dedication and congratulates those who have earned these well-deserved promotions. Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
