 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Funke Akindele grateful as she empowers 175 crew members for new movie

Nollywood actress and box office Queen Funke Akindele has expressed gratitude for empowering 175 crew members.


Taking to her Instagram page, she shared a photo of the crew members, celebrating them for working tirelessly for nine weeks to bring her upcoming movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa to life. She stated the movie is a self-funded project, and she is honoured to have empowered a team of talented individuals, with 95% of them being young people, to showcase their skills.


She gave a special shout-out to her Nigerian and Ghanaian crew members who collaborated seamlessly to make it happen. Funke noted how she believes in empowering and giving the next generation opportunities.
