 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.   Governor Mbah Renames Obinagu Road to Mike Ejeagha Road in Honor of Folk Music Legend


Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has officially renamed Obinagu Road in Abakpa Nike, Enugu, to Mike Ejeagha Road. This renaming pays tribute to the legendary folk musician Mike Ejeagha, who has made enduring contributions to the preservation and promotion of Igbo folklore through his music.


Governor Mbah’s decision to rename the road reflects the state’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of its cultural figures. Mike Ejeagha, a living legend, has played a pivotal role in enriching the Igbo cultural heritage, and this honor is seen as a fitting acknowledgment of his lifelong dedication to folk music.
