 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).   To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA.   The two nominees are seasoned professionals in the oil and gas industry.   Eyesan, a graduate of Economics f...

GOVERNOR SOLUDO APPOINTS NEW MEMBERS TO ANAMBRA STATE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION


The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has approved the appointment of distinguished individuals to serve as members of the Anambra State Civil Service Commission. 


This move is part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the state’s civil service system.


The appointments are as follows:


1) Ezenwaka, Anthony Uchechukwu – Chairman


2) Barr. Uwolloh Chuma Christopher – Member


3) Mrs. Okoli, Philomina Chikaodinaka – Member


4) Mrs. Udealor, Adaobi Margaret – Member


5) Dr. Ogbaka, Luke Chidiebele – Member


The members are expected to bring their wealth of experience to bear in ensuring that the state civil service functions optimally, with a focus on efficiency, professionalism, and service delivery, all geared towards enhancing the well-being of Ndi Anambra.


Governor Soludo congratulates the appointees and urges them to commit themselves wholeheartedly to their new responsibilities, working in line with the administration’s agenda of good governance and transformational leadership.
