  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). A statement issued by the Media and Publicity Directorate noted that the move also fulfills the Honourable Member’s campaign pledge to integrate every segment of the constituency into the decision-making and governance structure.  How Bandits Attacked Catholic, ECWA Churches In Kajuru, Abducted Pastor, 30 Others

 

Three people have been feared dead, and 30 others have been kidnapped following a bandits' attack on churches in Bakinpah-Maro, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, on Sunday.


The former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Cafra Caino, confirmed the incident, stating that the assailants arrived in large numbers around 10am.


They reportedly targeted both an ECWA church and a Catholic church. 


"The bandits came in large numbers and attacked the two churches," Caino said, according to The Nation. 


Among those abducted was Bernard Gajera, a pastor from one of the churches. 


The police have yet to release a statement on the attack.


This attack comes amid recent efforts by the Maro community to raise funds for a security post to attract more law enforcement personnel, addressing persistent security issues that have disrupted farming activities.
