 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  How Bandits Attacked Catholic, ECWA Churches In Kajuru, Abducted Pastor, 30 Others

 

Three people have been feared dead, and 30 others have been kidnapped following a bandits' attack on churches in Bakinpah-Maro, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, on Sunday.


The former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Cafra Caino, confirmed the incident, stating that the assailants arrived in large numbers around 10am.


They reportedly targeted both an ECWA church and a Catholic church. 


"The bandits came in large numbers and attacked the two churches," Caino said, according to The Nation. 


Among those abducted was Bernard Gajera, a pastor from one of the churches. 


The police have yet to release a statement on the attack.


This attack comes amid recent efforts by the Maro community to raise funds for a security post to attract more law enforcement personnel, addressing persistent security issues that have disrupted farming activities.
