 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  I Will Make You Lose Your States: Wike To PDP Govs For Supporting Fubara


The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has drawn a battle line with the governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for supporting his successor, Sim Fubara against him vowing to “put fire” in their states to lose.


Wike handed down the threat on Saturday at the PDP secretariat in Port Harcourt, the state capital, during the party’s state congress days after PDP governors officially threw their weights behind Fubara.


This followed the political crisis in Rivers State where Wike is struggling to control the PDP structure and state’s resources to which Fubara has opposed.


The PDP governors during their meeting some days ago in Taraba State emphasised their support for Fubara who also attended the meeting warning against external interference in the affairs of the state.


Although he remains a PDP member as he has continued to insist, Wike is serving as federal minister in the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC).


The PDP has failed to discipline him according to its constitution for anti-party activities.


Sensing the unanimous endorsement of the PDP for Fubara against him, an incensed Wike said, “Let me assure all of you, not while we live will anybody take away the structure of the PDP from us.


“But let me tell people, I hear some governors who say they will take over the structure and give it back to somebody.


“I pity those governors because I will put fire in their states. When God has given you peace, you say you don’t want peace – anything you see you take.


“Because I heard they got some money from a signature bonus, and so their heads are getting big that you will put a hand in my own state.


“Prepare because I have the capacity to also do the same thing in your own state,” Wike who served as a governor for eight years on the platform of the PDP said.


He warned, “Whether you are from Bauchi, I don’t give a damn, whichever state you are from, as far as I know, that you are trying to put yourself in Rivers State, your hand will get burnt, and you will never sleep in your state.”
