 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. LAGOS RELEASES 2024 BECE RESULTS. (PHOTO). #PRESS RELEASE.

 The Lagos State Government has released the results of the Year 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).


A statement signed by the Director of Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu informed both Public and Approved Private Junior Secondary Schools in the State that the Year 2024 BECE Results have been released The statement urged authorities concerned to visit the Board’s Portal: https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng using their schools’ default or existing Usernames and Passwords provided during the registration of their students to enable them to print out their Schools’ results with effect from Monday, 23rd September, 2024.


Mr. Orunsolu pointed out that all concerned schools in the State are allowed to have direct access to their results online to eliminate the burden and stress associated with coming to the Board for the physical collection of the results.

The Director added that the initiative would also eliminate the delay usually associated with getting the results in good time.


He further revealed that the date for the conduct of the BECE Resit Examination for students who failed English Studies or Mathematics or both would be duly communicated to all affected schools in due course.


Mr. Orunsolu commended all stakeholders for their cooperation and for being part of the success story of the new policy of the Board.
