 2027: BENUE GOVT TELLS APPOINTEES, DECLARE NOW OR STEP ASIDE 17th December, 2025   The Benue State Government has directed all political appointees seeking to contest elective offices to formally declare their intentions and tender their resignation letters. In a statement issued from the Office of the Deputy Governor, the directive follows the surge in political activities and growing expressions of interest in elective positions across the state. According to the notice, affected appointees are required to submit written expressions of interest for their preferred offices, alongside formal resignation letters, to the Office of the Deputy Governor on or before Thursday, December 18, 2025. The submissions will be transmitted to Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia for further consideration and necessary action. The government said the move is aimed at ensuring order, transparency, and focus within the administration as it continues to advance its governance agenda....

 LAGOS SURVEYOR-GENERAL INDUCTED AS FELLOW OF CHARTERED INSTITUTION OF ADMINISTRATION


The Permanent Secretary/Surveyor General, Office of the State Surveyor-General (OSSG), Surv. Ayokunnu Adesina has been inducted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) at a ceremony held on Thursday, 26th September, 2024.


Surv. Adesina was inducted by the Institute's Chairman, Dr. Stanley Ojuolape FCIA, who led Executives of the College of Fellows on a visit to the Office of the State Surveyor-General.


Speaking at the brief ceremony, Dr. Ojuolape said the Fellowship was conferred on the Surveyor-General for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and contributions to administration in Lagos State.


“The fellowship, which is one of the highest honours conferred by the Institute, is reserved for professionals who have demonstrated exceptional administrative excellence, integrity, and commitment to public service”, Dr. Ojuolape said.


Responding, Surv. Adesina expressed gratitude to the body of Fellows and the Institution for the recognition, reaffirming his commitment to effective administration.


He also acknowledged the support of his team, saying, “This honour is a reflection of our shared dedication to improving the standard of public service”.


Noting that the visit will further strengthen the collaboration between the Institute and the Office of the State Surveyor-General.


Surv. Adesina pledged to promote administrative excellence within the public service.


The Chartered Institute of Administration is a leading professional body in Nigeria, focused on the development of high standards in administrative practice. 


After conferment of the fellowship on Surv. Adesina, the management and the entire staff congratulated him for a well-deserved recognition and applauded his commitment to excellent customer service.
