Nigeria Actor Turns to Plumber In Canada
A Nollywood actor, Chris Bassey, has announced his shift to a plumbing career following his move to Canada.
We reports that Bassey shared this in a recent Instagram Live session with media figure, Daddy Freeze.
In the chat, which gained significant attention on Saturday, the actor discussed his choice to enter the construction field, particularly plumbing and underscored the lucrative nature of this new path.
He pointed out that plumbing offers greater financial benefits compared to technology jobs, drawing from his personal experiences.
When asked about his career choices since moving abroad, Bassey responded, “I’m into construction here, I do construction, I’m a plumber.”
Bassey, speaking in Pidgin, also mentioned the places he has visited across Canada for work over the last seven months, saying, “In the last seven months, the provinces I have visited on weekends just within Canada, someone who is into tech cannot afford what I was paid. I am not capping. I know what I am saying, I do not know about the US but here.”
We understands that Bassey began his entertainment career as a scriptwriter in the early 2000s.
His inaugural screenplay, ‘Master of The Game’, was completed in 2004.
In 2012, he transitioned into acting, inspired by the encouragement of seasoned actor Charles Inojie.
Since that time, he has featured in numerous films, such as ‘Sin Of A Woman’ (2013), ‘School Trouble’ (2014), ‘Love In A Valley’ (2022), and ‘A Bet On Love’.
