 Rebels to withdraw from key DR Congo town 'after US request' The M23 rebel group has said it would withdraw from the eastern DR Congo town of Uvira at the request of the US administration, which had criticised seizure of the town last week as a threat to mediation efforts. The rebels entered Uvira, on the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met with US President Donald Trump in Washington and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept." A report by a United Nations group of experts in July said Rwanda exercised command and control over the rebels. Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has lamented after spending her life savings at an event.


Taking to her Instagram page, she shared a video of her dancing and spraying money at Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Mo Bimpe’s movie premiere, Lisabi, which was held on Wednesday night. Calling out the singer at the event, she told him to avoid him as she stated that she spent all her life savings at the event. Questioning what she would eat, she wrote,


“@isegunjohnson try Dey avoid me, now I don spray all my life savings last night. Wetin’ I go chop today? Ya, all LISABI will start showing tomorrow on Netflix. Let’s scratch their system with massive viewing. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Congratulations, my people @adedimejilateef @mo_bimpe”.


In December of last year, Nkechi Blessing revealed her plans to give Grammy singer Wizkid a run for his money after he announced plans to gift N100 million to children for Christmas.


Nkechi, who was in tough competition with him, announced her donation, as she revealed her plans to give out N200 million to her Instagram followers.


Early this year, Nkechi revealed her desire to start a hook-up business due to the number of attractive single ladies on her Instagram and since she had billionaires following her on the law.
