A DELIVERY MAN STRANGLED TO DEATH AFTER HE DELIVERED AN IPHONE TO A CUSTOMER WHO WAS SUPPOSE TO PAY CASH ON DELIVERY. (PHOTO).

In a disturbing incident in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a man ordered an Apple iPhone through an e-commerce website with the Cash on Delivery option. To evade the payment of ₹ 1.5 lakh, he killed the delivery executive and disposed of the body in the Indira Canal. Authorities are currently working to recover the remains.

Police reports indicate that Gajanan, a resident of Chinhat, placed an order for an iPhone valued at ₹1.5 lakh using the Cash on Delivery method. On September 23, delivery executive Bharat Kumar, 30, arrived to deliver the phone but was reportedly strangled by Gajanan and his accomplice, Akash.

Bharat Kumar, a resident of Mahanagar and a delivery agent for the past eight years, left home on the morning of September 23 for his deliveries but failed to return. His absence raised concerns among his family and colleagues.

When Bharat Kumar didn’t return, his brother filed a missing person report at the Chinhat police station. The police quickly initiated an investigation, examining CCTV footage. This led to the arrest of Akash, who confessed to the crime and implicated Gajanan in the murder.

The suspects allegedly strangled Bharat, placed his body in a sack, and disposed it in the Indira Nagar Canal. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been called in to assist in recovering the body.
