 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   President Tinubu Reconstitutes the Board of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Board of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), following the Senate's confirmation of its members on December 16.   Members of the reconstituted Board are:   • Mulisiu Olalekan Oseni, PhD. — Chairman   Dr Oseni started his service as a Commissioner in January 2017. He was subsequently appointed Vice Chairman of the Commission.   His appointment as Chairman took effect from 1 December 2025 and shall subsist until the completion of his ten-year tenure at the Commission, in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2023.   • Yusuf Ali, PhD. — Vice Chairman   Dr Ali was first appointed as a Commissioner in February 2022. ARKANSAS MAN ARRESTED FOR TAKING THE LIFE OF A 67-YEAR-OLD FORMER INDIANA POLICE CHIEF. (PHOTO).

 Arkansas man was arrested for taking the life of a 67-year-old former Indiana police chief who was found with his missing 14-year-old daughter.


The whole sad situation began to unfold on Tuesday, October 8th, when 36-year-old Aaron Spencer reported that his daughter was missing. However before deputies could arrive to take a report, things took a deadly turn.


At some point after making the call to the police, Aaron located his daughter inside of a vehicle with a man well known to the family. But he wasn't known for a good reason.  


Michael Fosler, 67, had a no contact order concerning Aaron's teen daughter. He was facing felony charges of stalking and r****g the young girl. He had been arrested in July in connection to his offenses he had done against Aaron's 14-year-old daughter. Fosler was facing serious felony charges. 


When Aaron discovered his daughter with Fosler, the former police chief, a confrontation between the men broke out. At some point the situation spiraled out of control and Aaron drew his weapon and shot Fosler. The family contend they feared Fosler might take their daughter's life due to her upcoming and damning testimony related to his pending charges.


Aaron Spencer was arrested on preliminary charges of first-degree murder and booked into Lonoke County Detention Center. He was released on bond the following day.


Sheriff John Staley took to social media to address the situation saying no charges have been formally filed and the final decision would be up to the DA.


However Aaron's wife took to Facebook to share her views of the situation. She stated, "My husband is a hero and we are so thankful to have him home with us for now".


She continued, "We have gotten a clear picture of a predator who continuously worked with children and preyed on young girls". 


 "This man was chief of police in Indiana and a resource officer, giving us a better idea of why the Lonoke county courts have been protecting him and going after my husband."


"We absolutely called 911 during the entire event," she wrote. "We had no idea this man was in contact with our child again. He was facing 6-9 felonies for what he did. He was looking at the rest of his pathetic life in jail, and our daughter was the only witness."


The family put up a GoFundMe to help with legal expenses but it was taken down by the company.
