 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  FG okays zero VAT on pharmaceutical products


The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is set to implement zero Value Added Tax and excise duties on pharmaceutical products and medical devices.


A statement signed on Thursday by the ministry’s Head of Information & Public Relations, Alaba Balogun, said it had finalised the Executive Order Harmonised Implementation Framework, which has now been cleared for gazetting.


It said the critical step would ensure that the Federal Inland Revenue Service and the Nigeria Customs Service could proceed with the implementation of zero VAT and excise duties on pharmaceutical products and medical devices.


“This is a significant milestone, as it opens the door for our local pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers to begin fully benefiting from the relief measures outlined by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the Executive Order.


“With the implementation of this Executive Order, we anticipate a notable reduction in the prices of essential pharmaceutical products and medical consumables

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
