 South Africa says US misrepresented its policies after visa curbs South Africa's foreign ministry said on Wednesday that it ‌had noted with concern U.S. visa restrictions on some people from South Africa announced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio a day earlier. The foreign ministry added in a statement that ⁠the U.S. announcement aligned with "the mischaracterisation of South Africa's domestic policies by fringe groups". "We maintain that challenges in our bilateral relations with the USA can only be resolved by constructive engagement through state actors on both sides of the diplomatic channel not unilateral acts," the statement said, Reuters reported. Forbes has named Davido Africa’s richest artiste for 2024

Stating that he is 4x richer than his rival, Wizkid.

The Forbes list, which ranked Africa’s top five wealthiest musicians, placed Davido at the top with a net worth of $100 million.

Don Jazzy followed with $50 million, while Burna Boy and Wizkid held third and fourth spots with $30 million and $25 million, respectively. Rema stood at $15 million.

Rema had previously hinted at his rising status in one of his songs, claiming that the “Big Three” era is over, as he now ranks fourth.

The new Forbes ranking has however stirred disagreements among fans, particularly amid the ongoing social media clash between Davido and Wizkid.

Fans of Wizkid and Burna Boy have expressed their displeasure with the ranking, igniting further discussions within the music circle.
