 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. HOTELIERS ASSOCIATION AND VENUE OWNERS ASSOCIATION MET WITH MRS TOKE BENSON-AWOYINKA IN HER OFFICE. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE

 Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka met with representatives of the Hoteliers Association and the Association of Event Venue Owners in her office on Thursday.


This meeting was a continuation of a broader engagement with the industry stakeholders that held in May 2024


The meeting focused on the proposed review of the hotel licensing fees, as well as capacity building initiatives for members of the association


The constant engagement between the Ministry and the industry operators is geared towards strengthening the tourism sector in Lagos State.
