 BADAGRY ANGELS WIN LAGOS SOFTBALL TOURNEY  Badagry Angels have been crowned champions of the Lagos U-15 Softball Championship held recently at the Badagry Grammar School playing field, Badagry. The five-day tournament, which began on November 11, 2024, ended on Friday, November 15 where eight teams participated in the competition designed to drive the growth of the sport at the grassroots level. As Champions of the tournament, Badagry Angels showcased their dexterity and skills against Rak Angels in the grand finale, maintaining their good position and dominance on the field before finally trouncing their opponents 9 runs to 1.  Niger Signs Agreement With Starlink to Improve Internet Access: Minister of Communications


Niger has signed an agreement with satellite internet provider Starlink to improve internet access in the African country, Nigerien Minister of Communications and the Digital Economy Sidi Mohamed Raliou said, Sputnik News Agency reported.


"Niger will benefit from this latest generation technology... This will allow all of Niger to take advantage of this technology with a very high download speed of 200 megabits per second at a very low cost... This will also ensure fairly wide network coverage... The entire territory of Niger is covered by Starlink satellites," the minister said.


The ceremony to sign the partnership agreement was attended by Nigerien Prime Minister Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine and members of the country's ruling National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland, Nigerien broadcaster reported.
