A 25-year-old woman has died and ten others were injured in a shooting incident at the central bus station in Beersheba, Israel, which police are treating as a "suspected terror attack." The gunman was shot dead at the scene following the attack, which has heightened tensions across the country. Eyewitness footage reportedly shows injured individuals inside a nearby McDonald’s, while Israel's ambulance service confirmed that medics treated ten victims, with one woman in serious condition.


The attack comes as Israel remains on high alert ahead of the anniversary of Hamas's October 7 assault last year, which triggered ongoing conflict in Gaza. In response to the shooting, Israel’s transport minister Miri Regev called for the deportation of families of "terrorists" to deter future attacks.
