STAEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   PRESIDENT TINUBU: WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUSTAIN BUHARI'S LEGACIES.   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday in Abuja, stated that his administration will continue to honour former President Muhammadu Buhari by sustaining his legacies of purposeful leadership, discipline, integrity, and the belief that public office is a trust, not a windfall.   President Tinubu made this commitment at the State House Conference Centre during the unveiling and public presentation of the book, *From Soldier to Statesman – The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari*, authored by Dr Charles Omole.   He said the book offers Nigerians the opportunity to learn from President Buhari, and affirmed that the greatest honour to bestow on the late President is to sustain his legacies.   "This book reinforces the public memory.  Shooting in Beersheba Leaves One Dead and Ten Injured

A 25-year-old woman has died and ten others were injured in a shooting incident at the central bus station in Beersheba, Israel, which police are treating as a "suspected terror attack." The gunman was shot dead at the scene following the attack, which has heightened tensions across the country. Eyewitness footage reportedly shows injured individuals inside a nearby McDonald’s, while Israel's ambulance service confirmed that medics treated ten victims, with one woman in serious condition.

The attack comes as Israel remains on high alert ahead of the anniversary of Hamas's October 7 assault last year, which triggered ongoing conflict in Gaza. In response to the shooting, Israel’s transport minister Miri Regev called for the deportation of families of "terrorists" to deter future attacks. This incident follows a recent spate of violence, including a shooting and knife attack in Tel Aviv that resulted in seven fatalities.

As the situation escalates, Israeli authorities are increasing security measures nationwide. The recent violence underscores the ongoing tensions in the region, with Israeli military operations continuing against militant groups amid fears of further attacks as the anniversary approaches.
