 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Soludo signs Anambra LG law, says absolute autonomy recipe for chaos


Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has described absolute autonomy for local government areas in Nigeria as an impossibility, insisting that it will be a recipe for chaos.


Soludo made the assertion while signing the Local Government Administration Law in Awka.


According to him, the attendant challenges before the issue of local government autonomy are such that would certainly deepen the fate of the system and spell doom for the expected beneficiaries of the process.
