 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.  Telecoms Subscriber Numbers Slide from 219m in March to 153m in September


Following the completion of NIN-SIM linkage in September this year, subscriber number has dropped from 219,304,281 in March 2024 to 153,323,316 as at September 2024.


THISDAY gathered that the drop in subscriber number which is put at 31 per cent, was as a result of barring of several SIM cards that were not linked to National Identification Number (NIN) as at September 14 this year, which was the deadline given by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on NIN-SIM linkage.


According to THISDAY investigation, a particular mobile network operator incorrectly reported as much as 40 million active subscribers on its network, a development that negates and violates NCC’s guidelines for determining active telecoms subscribers.


The current subscriber base, even though it dropped, is a reflection that NCC is particular about transparency and accountability in regulating the telecoms industry.


NCC is expected to publish the current telecoms subscriber indices on its website this week.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
