 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. ZIMBABWEAN AUTHORITIES HAVE IDENTIFIED SEVEN SUSPECTS IN CONNECTION WITH A MASSIVE US $4.4M BANK HEISR. BULAWAYO. (PHOTO).

 Zimbabwean authorities have identified seven suspects in connection with a massive US$4.4 million bank heist in Bulawayo. Interpol and South African Police have joined the investigation. 


The suspects, believed to be local criminals based in South Africa, are linked to multiple robberies across Zimbabwe, including a gold heist worth US$675,000. They're accused of targeting financial institutions, businesses, and grocery shops, with significant hauls in Bulawayo.


The suspects are Elijah Vumbunu alias Mupositori, David Sawadye, Israel Zulu, Kudakwashe Mudzingwa alias Umbro, Takafa Vumbunu alias Naison Mahembe, Paul Chinake and Brian Murape.


Previous investigations revealed that after committing the crimes the gang would flee to South Africa.
