A MOM WHO MADE A "PACT TO END HER LIFE WITH HER 10-YEAR-OKD DAUGHTER" FAILED TO FOLLOW UP ON HER END AFTER GIVING DAUGHTER PILLS. (PHOTO).

Mom who made a "pact to end her life with her 10-year-old daughter" failed to follow up on her end after giving daughter pills.

She was arrested in Alabama after attempting to flee justice.

37-year-old Brittney Hensley was apprehended on October 15th and later booked into Jackson County, Mississippi Detention Center.

The arrest comes after a month's long investigation into a July 6th incident that occurred at Studio 6 Motel in Ocean Springs Mississippi.  On that date, police responded to a report of a child overdosing.

Once inside of the motel room they discovered a 10-year-old girl, unresponsive, on the floor. They also found several unknown empty prescription medicine bottles. The meds had all been prescribed to her mom, Ms. Hensley. The young girl was eventually flown to Children's Hospital in Alabama and luckily survived. Hensley was also taken to the hospital for a suspected overdose.

As the investigation unfolded, investigators learned that Hensley and her daughter had agreed to end their lives together. However investigators say that after supplying the daughter with the medication, Hensley backed out.

Hensley claimed she had followed through with her end, but doctors say blood work taken on the day of the incident tells a different story. Hensley told doctors a specific amount of pills she had taken, to which doctors responded she would no longer be alive if that was the case. After learning of the investigation into the incident, Hensley left the state but was picked up by authorities in Alabama after a warrant was issued.

Brittany Hensley is being charged with felony child abuse causing serious injury. She is being held on a $500,000 bond.

The 10-year-old girl has been remanded to the custody of Mississippi Department of Children Services.
