  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.  Appeal Court Disqualifies Ondo Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Ebiseni


The Court of Appeal in Abuja has disqualified Olusola Ebiseni as the Labour Party’s candidate for the upcoming Ondo state governorship election. The court’s decision, delivered on Wednesday, November 13, was the result of an appeal challenging Ebiseni’s nomination by some members of the party. 


Ebiseni, who is also the secretary-general of the Afenifere group, has been involved in a candidacy dispute with Ayodele Olorunfemi, a unionist. The ruling was issued by a three-member panel, led by Justice Adebukola Banjoko.
