  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Federal High Court to Begin Yuletide Vacation on December 16


The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Tsoho, has announced that the court's 2024 yuletide vacation will begin on December 16, 2024. 


According to a circular signed by the Chief Judge and released on Wednesday, the vacation will end on January 6, 2025, with court proceedings resuming on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, across all judicial divisions.


As stipulated by Order 46, Rule 4 (C) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2019 (as amended), the vacation period will only accommodate urgent matters, including cases related to the enforcement of fundamental rights, arrest or release of vessels, and matters of significant national interest.


During the vacation, only the core judicial divisions—Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt—will remain operational to handle such urgent matters. 


The vacation judges for each division have been appointed as follows:

- Abuja Division: Justices Emeka Nwite and M.S. Liman

- Lagos Division: Justices Akintayo Aluko and Isaac Dipeolu

- Port Harcourt Division: Justices P.M. Ayua and A.T. 


These judges will handle litigation throughout the holiday period.
