  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Gov. Mbah Proposes N971bn 2025 Budget for Enugu State, Focuses on Education and Infrastructure


Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has unveiled a N971 billion budget for 2025, a significant 86.4% increase over the 2024 budget. The proposed budget allocates 86% to capital expenditure (N837.9bn) and 14% to recurrent expenditure (N133.1bn). Key priorities include education, with N320.6bn set aside for the sector, as well as major investments in roads, water, energy, and healthcare. 


Mbah also highlighted a dramatic 286.2% increase in the state's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), which rose to N144.7bn in September 2024. The Governor expressed confidence in elevating Enugu to a top-three state in national GDP and securing inclusive economic growth. The Enugu State House of Assembly has committed to early passage of the budget to support the governor's development plans.
